“The difference between Hudson and other retrofit electrical contractors was that they are "one stop shopping". They not only perform the electrical work to code, they patch, texture and paint all holes that were made during the work. As a result, they look a little more expensive at the outset until you realize you have to hire a painter that does sheet rock repair and texture. |They removed existing fluorescent fixtures, installed 6 3500K LED adjustable ceiling lights, 4 pendants, all with effective dimmer switches, under-counter lights. They also moved switches, added switches and dimmers in other areas of the kitchen and dining room. Moved a fan from the dining room to a bedroom, installed a chandelier in it's place. I would defy anyone to see where the patch, texture and paint was done. It was seamless. Also covered all surfaces with double drop cloths that were clean. “We had Robert come out and remove our old recessed kitchen lighting, fill in the void, put in can lights, and install Pendant lighting as well. He was always on time, knowledgeable, courteous, and detail oriented. All the quotes we received were pretty close but Robert brought in examples of the different lights, the different colors (basically white, natural, sunlight type of bulbs - color spectrum). He was nice and was just not there to throw up some lights anywhere. He talked about placement and shadow effect etc. Our kitchen is great looking now and we could not be happier. We even had him put in some additional lighting in the family room, move a ceiling fan, and remove some misplaced lights that were not adding anything and looked ugly.
